JacksonFive's
Free Weekly "Learning English" Newsletter
Issue: 15 "Common Chinese Food"
May 28, 2000
=====================================================
Dear Readers,
As most of you know, today we had our first JacksonFive Potluck
Party at my house. It was really fun! We chatted, learned some
English, and had lots of laughs together. Three of our members
even brought guests. We also went up to the roof of my school to
view my Bonsai's and enjoy the night view. This is the first time
for me meeting our JacksonFive family members face to face, and I
can tell you they are all very nice and friendly people. Don't
miss the next party opportunity.
Good news! Our JacksonFive family is getting bigger and bigger.
We have more than 1,600 members now. 35-40 new members join our
newsletter everyday. We might even have more than 10,000 members
by "this same time next year". It takes me now 10-15 hours
per
week maintaining, creating, and sending our popular newsletter.
I key each and every one of your "entrusted" email addresses
in
manually (I maintain our list in my computer so you don't get junk
email from "unscrupulous" business people). I also try to
answer
all your questions and emails within 12 hours. Soon, I will hire
someone part time to help me with the logistics of our newsletter
so I have more time to create JacksonFive newsletter and website
content. My biggest reward from all this is the encouragement and
support of all our JacksonFive family members.
The "brick and mortar" counter-part (def: complimentary part)
of
our JacksonFive Newsletter is about to be officially opened,
http://www.jacksonfive.com.tw/.
Our JacksonFive English School
will soon open on June the 11th. I look forward to many members
attending and bringing their friends in Taichung ^_^ Please come
and support me! If you can't attend, I would appreciate it if you
tell your Taichung friends about our JacksonFive School. By the
way, any friends you introduce will get 15% off the tuition for 3
months. Just tell them to say, "I'm a JacksonFive member,"
and
they will get the discount. Thanks.
JacksonFive
P.S. Please feel free to drop-by anytime at our school and give me
some encouragement and
support. I need it!
