Dear Readers,

Were you worried Saturday night? Did the earth shaking wake you
up? What were you thinking during and after the earthquake?
Please share about your experience of the earthquake with us.

For me, I was still awake at that time. I was planning for the
JacksonFive English School's Grand Opening the next day. I knew
it was bigger than the other small "tremors" that came after 921.
"On the upside", I was no longer living on the 11th floor of an
apartment building. The difference in magnitude and duration of
shaking between 3rd floor and 11th floor is big. Knowing that I was
living on the 3rd floor rather than the 11th floor was also a big
    "psychological boost".

As you can remember, we had quite a bit of "downpour" the next
day, Sunday morning. I was a bit worried the earthquake and rain
would make my Grand Opening a "wash out".

The "turnout" for the Grand Opening was quite good considering all
the forces of Nature at work. The teaching demo had a "packed
room" and all the delicious deserts were quickly devoured (I didn't
even have time to get any myself ^_^). Admittedly, the rain and
earthquake did take its "toll" on attendance. Many people who said
they would come didn't make it. I can't blame them though ^_^

What was comforting was that the people that came were REALLY
impressed with our JacksonFive School and teaching philosophy as
well as our teaching team. I think the comment that I heard the
most was how "spacious" and comfortable the classrooms and school
looked. A large percentage of people left us their contact
information for us to contact them. I just wished more people
    came.

We even had Taichung JacksonFive members who said they would
come who didn't make it. At least, I didn't meet them. However, I
later found out that one of our
南投 county members did come and
even left me some delicious lycee's. Thanks, but you didn't leave
your name. Please email me whoever you are.

We are planning for an "Open House" this Saturday afternoon (time
to be later notified). I hope you can make it. Please bring some
friends and don't be shy to come and say hi to me. I would love
to meet you. In July and August, our school is having a two-month
English Summer Camp program. No need to send your kids abroad for
intensive English. No need to hire an expensive nanny to watch
your children during the daytime. Our school will provide a fun
and safe 100% English environment for your children. They will
love our JacksonFive School as much as you enjoy reading our
JacksonFive newsletter ^_^ You can call our school at (04)
473-7578 for more information (office hours: 11am-9pm). Please
come and support our school and let children learn English
    naturally in a fun environment.
