JacksonFive's
Free Weekly "Learning English" Newsletter
Issue: 21 "Canada Day!"
July 9, 2000
=====================================================
Dear Readers,
Last week, I told you about a fellow member from St. Louis,
Missouri who had a problem returning her soymilk at a Chinese
grocery. Many of our JacksonFive members wrote me helpful emails
offering their advice. The following is just a short
"highlight"
(def: best parts) of the emails that I received. After receiving
so many emails, I know our members like to help each other, and
every one of you has a warm heart.
". . . (I) ALWAYS call my family to mail everything I need from
Taiwan!"
- - - Yin Huei"
". . . you are doing your obligation."
- - - Joyce"
". . . rebuke them so that the owners could pay more attention to
CRM (Customer Relationship Management) . . ."
- - - Marlon
". . . my experience of dealing with Ikea . . ."
- - - Choi
". . . in USA there is a BBB (better business bureau) . . ."
- - - Erick

Our JacksonFive English School is doing well in its first official
week. Students are happy, and parents are happy. After their
first lesson, some young students even asked if they could come
again tomorrow. When the learning experience is fun and rewarding
for the young students, they enjoy coming again and again. For
yourself, what do you think are the most important factor(s) to
help you learn English better? Is it the same as young people
or different?
As you know, my passion right now is with the School and our
JacksonFive Newsletter. I'm always looking for new ways to
improve the learning experience. I recently had the inspiration
to add MP3 to our newsletters. On a trial basis, I'll be
experimenting with MP3 over the next few issues. What do you
think of MP3? Please help me improve our newsletter by giving
me your feedback for this new feature:

Congratulations JacksonFive Family! As of this week, we have
more than 3,000 members in our family. To give you an idea of
how fast we are growing, it took two months to reach our first
thousand while it only took one month to reach our third thousand
(going from two to three thousand). From another
"perspective"
(def: angle, viewpoint), if we were a "brick and mortar"
school
(with real walls and structure), we would need to add one new
classroom everyday, 35-45 new members per day.
