Soymilk Advice

"I had the same problem before,so I decide never come to Chinese
grocery store anymore.and I ALWAYS call my family to mail
everything I need from Taiwan!"

"If it happened in Taiwan, you "HAVE TO" do the same thing to
let owners know how important of consumer's privilege and feeling.
In U.S.if you do so, than you are doing your obligation."

"...In my opinion, if we (consumer) have any unsatisfied things, we can
denounce call "1950" and browsing web site: www.cpc.gov.tw/2.htm
CPC (Consumer Protection Commission), also you can call
(02) 2356-6625 Mr.
黃明陽 ask him for consumer protection law and
relation question. Let's mutual rebuke them so that the owners could
pay more attention to CRM (Customer Relationship Management)."

"As for suggestion, I would share you with my experience of dealing
with Ikea. To make it short, the issue is that I told them if they can not
send the replacement to me by express mail (at their cost) instead of
asking me to bring back the defective products to their shop, I will POST
my "experience" on the Internet... The day after the next day, I got the
replacement. Here, she could send the same message to the store she
bought that soymilk, or to the Manufacturer as well.... A small store
might not care, but the manufacturer should be more aware of the
issue. ^_^"

"There are 3 questions need to be addressed here:
1. Soymilk or "regular" milk, are they any different in terms of "time to
    get spoiled" ??
2. The quality of service of the "vendor" in handling customer complaint??
3. The general policy of the government to protect the consumers of
    getting ripoff ??
The detailed answer to the first question can be searched and found in
the "net", but my impression is that it depends on how much "bugs" in
the material to start with. It also depends on the TIME and
TEMPERATURE where you stored the milk. For the second?? it is clear
everywhere in the world that some stores do not provide good service. That
is why in USA there is a BBB (better business bureau) you can call, go to
and get your case presented. Similar situation in Taiwan, you can go the
the consumer union or to local health bureau and register you complaint.
They can help you.
The store owner may be more willing to accomodate you when these
people are involved in your case. The last ?? is really an social issue,
and a government policy issue. In Taiwan the "Consumer Protection Act"
was passed and implemented in Jan 1st of 1993. The law prohibits
merchant from ripping off their customers or consumers. I hope my
explanation helps you in understanding this matter. It is an interesting topic
and a real concern of many people all over the world. I am glad to have the
opportunity to help.
If you have more questions please feel free to discuss with me anytime."

"I'd like to express my view pretain the case of your member bought a
sour soymilk but not get refund. It is hard to look for a good lawyer to
handle this for him due to the reasons of time and money. My suggestion
is that carry this soymilk and receipt go to consumer protective
agency/fundation (try look for it from internet or local yellow page). Tell
them the story and secure assistance, as well as to express this
message by way of internet which is not just let everybody knows how
bad the store is but to find more victims of the same situation. Putting all
the victims' power together to force the store back in reasonable service.
Good luck to the friend in St. Louis, MO."
